WORLDWIDE DELIVERY

 SHIPPING AND POSTAGE INFORMATION

1.  Delivery to UK and associated islands

Delivery for First Class is usually rapid and reliable - just about the world’s best.  Except for remote areas (you’ll know if this is you) almost all orders will arrive next delivery day (which includes Saturday), if you order by 3.00pm.  If you’re out when a large packet arrives, they’ll leave a note and try again, or leave it in a designated place or with a neighbour, if you’ve asked them for that.  If you have to collect, Royal Mail local delivery offices are usually more convenient for you to collect from than are those of other carriers, including Royal Mail Parcels (ParcelForce).  We can also post your order to you on a Saturday morning for Monday delivery (usually), if you order by 10.00am.

We charge £1.20 (inc. VAT) for materials and handling, plus the actual UK postage charge. This total charge is shown in your PayPal checkout page before you begin the purchase process.

Goods valued under £30 are sent First Class.

Goods valued under £85 are sent First Class Signed-For.  For the UK-only Signed-For service (the cheapest option to protect your purchase adequately), the insurance is £50, which gives you compensation for up to about £85-worth of goods.  Special Delivery will give you compensation up to £500, and we REQUIRE you to use this if your goods cost over £85.

If £35/£85 compensation is enough insurance for you, simply purchase now; the price for post and packing covers you without additional cost.

For services beyond Royal Mail First Class you must select an option for each service.

2.  Delivery to the European Union

We charge £1.20 for materials and handling, plus the actual Royal Mail Airmail charge. This total charge is shown in your PayPal shopping basket before you begin the purchase procedure.  Royal Mail’s basic insurance covers you up to about £30-worth of goods including UK VAT, usually delivered in 3-5 days.  Please note that we’re not allowed to supply goods tax-free to EU countries!

Carriage is Royal Mail Airmail for goods valued under £30, with enhanced services (below) if you need them.  For goods valued between £30 and £85, the postage charge will include the extra for Signed-For, Tracked or both - whichever is cheapest for your country.

If you want no more than this insurance and speed, simply purchase now.

3.  Delivery tax-free to Europe (non-EU) and Worldwide

We charge £1.20 for materials and handling, plus the estimated Royal Mail Airmail charge. This total charge is shown in your PayPal checkout page before you begin the purchase procedure.  Royal Mail’s basic insurance covers you up to about £25-worth of goods.  Goods valued more than this but under £70 are sold with either Airmail Signed-For or Tracked (or both), whichever is cheaper for you.  If this is enough insurance and speed for you, simply purchase. There’s no need to buy additional services.

Customers in non-EU countries do not have to pay EU Value-added Tax. You buy at the tax-free rate shown for Worldwide orders, but be aware that your own government may charge import duties and/or taxes on entry to your country.

Carriage is Royal Mail Airmail, with its enhanced services if you need them - see below.

The basic insurance provided by Royal Mail covers up to about £30-worth of goods.  Airmail Tracked and Signed-For insure up to about £70 of goods.  (An additional payment will cover up to £300 of goods.)

If you want no more than this, simply purchase now. If you want:

Shipping – FAIR AND SWIFT

IS SHIPPING FREE?

It’s common now for companies to offer
“free shipping”.
Fine, if it’s true.

Usually, though, ‘free shipping’ that’s not a special, limited offer is simply hidden in what you pay for each item.  If you buy several items, each one carries the full shipping charge for a single item.

We’re up front and tell you our shipping charge: £1.20 handling and packaging, plus the actual cost to post the whole order, with no added profit for us.

When your purchase needs to be shipped to you, someone has to pay, somewhere - and it’s always you, whether or not the charge is hidden in the price.

So do look for a fair price when you shop around, but make sure that ALL costs are included.  For some sellers, this means following purchase through right to the point of commitment, just before the ‘purchase’ click, to find out the total price to pay - including entering all your personal and card details. The idea is presumably that you’ll buy anyway, just to avoid going through all that again on another website.

You may want to consider whether you want to deal with a seller who works in this way.
